Bangla School : 2014 Annual Bangla School Reunion and quarterly exam

On 12/13/2014 we celebrated the annual Bangla School reunion of the year 2014. We will keep up the tradition each year when Bangla School's all current and past students and teachers, with their families, will meet to socialize, have a fun and enjoy performances by the Bangla School current and past students/teachers. Of course there will be grand feast!

This time, on 12/13, we started at 11 am. Weather was lightly cloudy but comfortable. All Bangla School current students participated in a test conducted by Shyamal. Meanwhile parents enjoyed tea and snacks. Parents were relieved to hear that every student graduated. So it was celebration time! Students enjoyed plenty of colorful cupcakes. For lunch there were loads of foods. Many thanks to Anita Di and Dipankar Da for such a good lunch. Anita Di prepared daal, Chicken, Gobi sabji. Dipankar Da brought goat curry (Of course!).

Afternoon program started after lunch. Archit taught other kids how to program a robot. Babi the gave the opening talk. Babi Da handed over Course Completion certificates to all the kids who successfully graduated this quarter. A special certificate was given to Tithi for volunteering to teach classical music to the kids. Ishan (vocal) and Arka (flute) presented the national anthem when everyone stood up including little Aditi. It was followed by a series of Bengali poem recitations by the school kids. The program got a beautiful ending with a classical vocal by Tithi.

Our congratulations to all kids who successfully graduated the Bangla School 2014 4th Quarter. Hip hip hurray!
